About our teachers
 Danette Meigel-Cahr Creative Director For Pixalina Dance, LLC

Ms. Danette was enrolled in a local Long Island dance studio at the age of three. Enchanted from her very first lesson, she was quickly captivated by the magical world of music and movement. As she grew, Ms. Danette continued to participate in a multitude of classes, practicing to become a professional dancer. She was accepted into B.O.C. E. S. Cultural Arts Center, Long Island’s Performing Arts High School, where she studied with famous dancers, instructors, and choreographers. Ms. Danette earned a Dance Certificate with majors in Ballet and Modern Dance from The Cultural Arts High School and credit in Dance History from Adelphi University. She continued her dance education at Nassau College. The following year she was invited to audition for ClubMTV, the show on which she danced for two years. In addition to her television work, Ms. Danette continued to study at Martha Graham Dance Studio and other NYC dance studios. She has performed with a variety of both professional and amateur dance troupes and theater groups throughout the Tri-State area.  Currently, Danette Meigel-Cahr is the Creative Director for Pixalina Dance, LLC in beautiful Springdale, Connecticut. She coordinates and instructs dance programs for children of all ages. Ms. Danette also enjoys spending time with her husband, Jonathan Cahr, and her two delightful children, Geoffrey and Alexandra.
TATUM KAI HARMON

Miss Tatum  has had the privilege of training at prestigious dance schools such as The School of American Ballet, The Ailey School, Dance Theatre of Harlem, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, SUNY Youth Ballet at Purchase College and the New York State Summer School of the Arts. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase. After graduating she danced with various professional dance companies such as Connecticut Ballet, Debra Weiss Dance Company, she was an apprentice with the Richmond Ballet, and she danced with the Dance Theatre of Harlem Dancing Through Barriers Ensemble. She also started her own company called Tatum Kai Harmon Dance. She now enjoys teaching dance and has done so for over ten years. She also has a Master of Arts in Writing from Manhattanville College. She enjoys combining her dance and writing skills.
FUJIKO UEDA
 
Born and raised in Japan, Fujiko started her dance career by passing the audition for the Broadway Musical ANNIE (all Japanese cast) in Japan when she was 13 years old. She has worked for Gekidan Himawari Co. (kids entertainment agency) as a Hip Hop dance teacher and choreographer. In addition she was a member of a professional double doutch team named "Beat Ropers"~ sponsored by Reebok and Otsuka Madison Co Ltd.
 
In 2000 she arrived in New York City and attended Peridance Center and Broadway Dance Center. There Ms. Fujiko continued her education.
She has performed in show cases with choreographer Rhapsody James, Brian"footwork"Green, Ramon Baynes, Jamein Brown, and Sheryl Murakami.
 
Fujiko has also had privilege of working with DON OMAR (MTV Promo), Chester French (Star Trak / Interscope), Dee Robert (oh music), KTU's Beatstock, BIG ALI (Tommy Boy), Tommy Hilfiger Perfume "Athletics" Promotion event, P. diddy all white party and She was a Cheer Dancer for the professional arena foot ball team NJ Gladiators.
